The New Cold War

By Edward Lucas. Mr. Lucas is a long-time writer for The Economist who recently wrote an indepth analysis of the cultural reasons for Putin's administration's new authoritarian rule. The book explains why and how the Russian people accept the new laws suppressing free speech through analogies with the U.S.'s political and social culture and a historical context of how the Russian people readily accept suppression.

Nice review Mr. Sughrua. I'm sure this book would be a welcome addition to any K-5 Library.

The book also delves into recent Soviet Union history.
